June Webinar - Frinx
On Tuesday the 11th of June Frinx hosted a webinar about automation in hetrogeneous networks, we provided a network vendor independent view on automation and discussed workflow, inventory and network control. Roy Chua and Gerhard Wieser presented the session in which they covered, amongst other things, these 4 topics;
- Three use cases that describe how operators have deployed automation in their networks
- Open source based workflow, inventory and network control in todays and tomorrows heterogeneous networks
- Intent based network orchestration and automation
- The strengths and weaknesses of the different open source projects like ONAP, ODL, Conductor, Ansible, Terraform and others when used in large heterogeneous networks.
Below are the short bios of the speaker of the session;
Roy Chua, CEO and Founder of AvidThink – an independent analyst firm – has 20+ years of experience in technology infrastructure, including networking, security, SaaS and cloud technologies. Prior to co-founding SDxCentral and Wiretap Ventures, Roy was VP Products at 41st Parameter, an online fraud prevention company acquired by Experian.
Gerhard Wieser, CEO and co-founder of FRINX – an open source network automation company that works with Fortune Global 500 customers to provide products and solutions for workflow, inventory and network control. Gerhard was previously a Senior Director with Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for the design and rollout of Tier 1 networks. He organizes regular meetups and webinars to bring engineers together that share an interest in the operation and evolution of networks.
